Some people seem to associate it with \u201cmonsters,\u201d \u201ccheap scares,\u201d or even \u201csensationalism.\u201d And, well, I can understand how the title or synopsis might give that impression, but no\u2014nothing could be further from the truth! There's nothing dark or gruesome here. Instead, you'll find rituals full of love and connection, designed to honour and remember our loved ones who are no longer with us.<br \/><br \/>These traditions are deeply human, full of symbolism and, above all, affection. From rituals in Mexico to customs in Asia, these practices aim to keep alive the memory of those we've loved and lost, connecting us to them across time and space.<\/p>\n<h5>Parts Three and Four: The Supernatural and Legends<\/h5>\n<p>Here we venture a little further into the realm of the supernatural. The third part contains legends, stories and creatures of the night that are linked to the theme of death. There are fascinating myths and creatures you may not have heard of, but trust me, you'll love them.<br \/><br \/>Finally, in part four, I explore haunted places and mysterious spaces. If you're into supernatural legends, shows like Supernatural (sadly no Winchester brothers here - life isn't perfect) and creepy places that give you goosebumps (without being overly gruesome), these two sections are for you.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-91d28e2 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"91d28e2\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3>Who is this book for?<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Lovers of cultural traditions and anthropology<\/strong>: If you're curious about how different cultures around the world honour and connect with their dead, this book will fascinate you.<\/li>\n<li><strong>People going through a period of mourning<\/strong>: Something I hadn't considered until a reader mentioned it in a review is that this book can be a source of comfort for those coping with loss. It offers new perspectives and ways of understanding grief through different cultural traditions.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fans of the supernatural<\/strong>: If you enjoy legends, creatures of the night and haunted places, this book has a lot to offer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7b43371 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"7b43371\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>And who is this book not for?<\/h5>\n<p>If you\u2019re looking for gore, cheap scares, or sensationalist stories, this isn\u2019t the book for you. There are no typical ghosts or gratuitous thrills here. Instead, it\u2019s a book that blends reflection, culture, and a touch of mystery\u2014all presented with respect and humanity.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-23075be elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"23075be\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>Is it suitable for all ages?<\/h5>\n<p>Yes! While I wouldn\u2019t recommend it for very young children, there\u2019s nothing in this book that I wouldn\u2019t let a 14-year-old read.
