It is not a sin to grow old.
And neither should it be to be able to show a normal and ordinary body, just as it is, without retouching or unfulfillable ideals.
This post comes from yesterday's El País article, Why is it so surprising that a 63-year-old woman does a full nude on the big screen?, about the new film by the enormous Emma Thompson.

The actress said about a scene that has opened the debate about the taboo of showing naked bodies when the protagonists have passed the age of 45.

It is not a sin to grow old.
And neither should it be to be able to show a normal and ordinary body, just as it is, without retouching or unattainable ideals.
When I read the article, I got the urge and told myself that it was okay, that I was going to take advantage of the situation to do something that I have been wanting to do for centuries, but that I have never dared to do. Collage. Look what nonsense.
And raise your voice. And start saying what I think, and what I feel. Stop taking refuge in what is safe, in the comfort zone, which is nothing more than another way of calling out fears.
So that's what I've done.
And let Rome burn with Santiago.
Read the article, start loving each other, and it's okay to let others tell us how we have to feel inside our skin and what and when we can and cannot do and teach.
