Von Brücke zu Brücke: Anthologie is a fascinating collection that celebrates the tenth anniversary of the Goldstadt-Autoren e.V., the writers' association of Pforzheim, my adopted city. This anthology brings together the voices of 18 local authors, among whom I am proud to count myself, in a literary journey through 22 of the more than fifty bridges that cross rivers, streets and railways in our city.
My contribution, The secrets of the Rondel: The search for Atax (Die Geheimnisse des Rondells: Atax' Suche), is part of a larger project called "Stories from the Rondel«In this story I introduce Atax, a young troll girl who faces the world of supernatural creatures hidden in Pforzheim, which I call Portus in my stories. Through her eyes, we explore themes of belonging, survival, and the delicate balance between the magical and everyday worlds.
The anthology covers a wide range of genres, from the humorous to the reflective, the fantastical to the realistic. Each story and poem uses the bridges of Pforzheim as inspiration, whether as meeting places, keepers of memories or even settings for intrigue.
As part of my growing career as an author, this publication represents an important step. From the bridge to the bridge It is not only a celebration of our writing community, but also a tribute to Pforzheim, our “gateway to the Black Forest,” and a window into the diverse talents and perspectives the city has to offer.
Available in paperback and digital format, this anthology is a must-read for lovers of local literature and for those who wish to discover Pforzheim through the eyes of its writers. Join us on this literary journey across the bridges of our city!
