Quick update: “Das kommt mir Spanisch vor” is almost ready!

Hi, everyone,

You all know that I've been working on Das kommt mir Spanisch vor, the re-edition of Bessersprecher (well, among other projects, because let's be honest, I can't stick to just one thing at a time 😅). Anyway, I wanted to let you know that the German version is almost finished. I just need to format it and it's done! If all goes well, we're aiming to release it in a few weeks, or a month at the latest.

And while you're here, let me share with you — as an exclusive first access — the cover of the book in German:

Bessersprecher - Das kommt mir Englisch vor - Cover Portada

What do you think of it? Please let me know in the comments - I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Now, once the German-version is out, our plan is to release it in English and in Spanish. We don’t have the English cover yet, but it’s in the works. And as for the title… well, I’ll keep that under wraps for now (a little mystery always makes things more fun, right? 😏).

About the Spanish Title: I Need Your Help!

Here's the important part: I really need your help with the Spanish title. So far I've been publishing this kind of content under the label "Historias de Tus Palabras" ("Stories Behind Your Words",on social media, for example), but I feel that this title doesn't quite fit this book - or this potential series of books, as the plan is to turn it into a series.

For those of you who don't know, the original book is about 150 idioms and expressions in Spanish, explaining their origin and etymology (where they come from) and including some fun examples to show how they are used.

In addition, for each idiom or expression there is a section called "Bueno es saberlo" (yes, in Spanish 😅), where I include fun facts or additional information related to the phrase we're covering. These are little tidbits that give extra context. And for the Spanish version, I'll probably expand this section even more - because you know how much I love curiosities, especially when they're related to history and languages.

The Favor I’m Asking

Here's what I'd like you to do for me:

  • Tell me what you think of the German cover (I’d really love to hear your opinion!).
  • Help me come up with ideas for the Spanish title (!!!). If you can think of something cool, creative, or fitting, please leave your suggestions in the comments. I’m running out of ideas, so I’d really appreciate your help here.

Honestly, I’d love to read your suggestions. I’m sure that together we can come up with the perfect title.

Sending you all a huge hug and, as always, thank you so much for being here and supporting me. ❤️
