The truth is, I've been circling around this idea for a while. And I can prove it: somewhere in the depths of this website you'll find my review of Bram Stoker's Dracula — which turned out beautifully, I won't lie, but also turned out so long that I nearly ran out of steam to review anything else for quite some time afterwards. I love going into every little detail when I talk about books, but at that rate I was going to manage three reviews a year. And that, my friend, is not a plan.
So I've decided to do things differently.
From now on, I'll be reviewing all kinds of books — new ones, old ones, classics, recent releases, fantasy, non-fiction, in Spanish, in English, in German. Any book I've read and feel is worth sharing with you will have its place here. And if there's one I haven't got round to yet but that's caught my eye, I'll tell you about that too — because you never know, maybe you'll fancy reading it yourself without having to wait for me to find the time to read it, digest it, review it, and so on. Which could well be a wait until the Greek Calends.
One more thing: some of the books that will appear here have been recommended to me by readers like you — people I'm in touch with through the newsletter who love fantasy just as much as I do. Because there's no better recommendation than one from someone who shares your exact literary obsessions, is there?
So if you have a book you think I should read — or review — please tell me. In the comments below, by email, by WhatsApp, however you like. I'm always open to new reading adventures.
Welcome to this new section. I can't wait for us to get our teeth into a thousand books together.
So — what book, or books, would you recommend? Tell me everything…
